No Reservations is the first solo flute piece I ever composed, way back in 2007. It's constructed of bold, unapologetic motives and a variety of striking extended techniques. Even though I wrote it over a decade ago, it's still a lot of fun to play!
Purchase Sheet Music here. I wrote The Pot of Tea for one of my beginner flute students in 2010 and it's meant to be an introduction to extended techniques, namely singing while playing, harmonics, timbral trills, and flutter-tonguing.

Adrift of the Seventh Sea is a collaboration from a 2019 episode of Sean & Dave Make Music and utilizes a technique which I've dubbed "undertones". In contrast to overtones, they are produced by fingering high register flute notes and sounding the series of pitches that occurs below the ordinary note. The faster, rhythmic section in the middle uses only percussive sounds: key clicks, tongue pizzicato, and tongue stops before returning to the rolling waves of undertones.
